Equipment Application: Falling film evaporator, also known as falling film concentrator, is a kind of falling film evaporation & concentration equipment. Falling film evaporator is especially suitable for evaporation and concentration of fermented broth containing active bacteria and heat-sensitive foods, and can also be applied to low-temperature continuous evaporation and concentration of aqueous solutions such as glucose, xylose, starch sugar, oligosaccharides, fresh milk and maltodextrin. The equipment has the main characteristics of high heat transfer efficiency and short material heating time, which is widely used in pharmaceutical, chemical, biological engineering and environmental engineering waste liquor recovery industries.
Main structure of the equipment: Falling film evaporator is mainly composed of heater, separator, condenser, feed pump, circulating pump, vacuum pump, operating platform, electrical control system, piping system, etc.
Operating principle of the equipment: Falling film evaporation is designed to add a feed liquid from the upper header of the heating chamber of falling film evaporator, which through the liquid distribution and film forming devices is evenly distributed into the heat exchange tubes and flows from top to bottom in a uniform film state under the effects of gravity, vacuum induction and air flow. During the flow, heated and vaporized by shell pass heating medium, the generated vapor and liquid phase collectively enter the separating chamber of the evaporator. After the vapor and liquid are fully separated, vapor enters the condenser to condense (single-effect operation) or enters the next effect of evaporator as the heating medium for multi-effect operation, and the liquid phase is discharged from the separating chamber.
